Berlin 09.03.2025 - Apheris has successfully completed SOC 2 Type II attestation, confirming that our controls for data protection, security, and privacy adhere to recognized industry standards.
SOC 2 Type II assesses the design and operational effectiveness of security controls over an extended period. This attestation is part of our broader compliance efforts to ensure independent validation of our security measures, building on our ISO 27001 and SOC 2 Type I certifications.
The audit was conducted by Insight Assurance and evaluated our ability to prevent, detect, and respond to potential security risks.
The independent evaluators assessed key areas, including:
Risk Management: Processes for identifying and mitigating potential security risks.
Access Control: Mechanisms ensuring that only authorized personnel can access critical systems and information.
Change Management: Procedures overseeing updates to systems and applications to minimize risk and maintain integrity.
Monitoring and Alerting: Tools and processes for detecting unusual activity and responding promptly to incidents.
Incident Response: A structured approach to managing and resolving security events, with clear escalation paths and documentation.
Completing SOC2 Type II demonstrates that our security measures function effectively in practice. Alejandro Ortuno, Head of Security at Apheris, stated: "SOC 2 Type II validates that our security measures are working as intended. Independent attestations like this are part of our broader strategy at Apheris to build trust with our customers by demonstrating that we follow structured security processes and meet industry standards." About Apheris
Apheris powers federated life sciences data networks, addressing the critical challenge of accessing proprietary data locked in silos due to IP and privacy concerns. Publicly available datasets are insufficient to train high-quality ML models that meet industry requirements. Our product addresses this by enabling life sciences organizations to collaboratively train higher quality models on complementary data from multiple parties.
